We're recruiting for a Project Accountant on behalf of a fast-growing, design-led hospitality group based in London — best known for its distinctive, character-led aparthotel brands across the UK and Europe.
Our client is on a mission to get its finance data into the best possible shape, and they're looking for a hands-on Project Accountant to lead a focused, 6-month clean-up effort.

The role:
- Preparing and updating reconciliations across suppliers, customers, revenue and cost balances
- Analysing transaction data to identify miscodings, duplicates, missing accruals and CAPEX/OPEX issues
- Clearing finance backlog items — gathering evidence, preparing adjustments, chasing actions to close
- Supporting month-end close recovery: journals, accruals, balance sheet schedules
- Maintaining trackers and audit trails to ensure a clear record of actions taken
- Partnering with AP, AR, Operations and Systems teams to resolve queries at source
- Supporting the testing and embedding of improved processes and controls

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
