Lanpro is a market leading multi-disciplinary consultancy who specialise in Environment led Planning and Design.

As a Project Accountant you will be motivated and detail-driven to support the financial and operational management of our projects.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate project setup, financial tracking, and ongoing coordination between finance and project teams. This position is well-suited to someone who enjoys working with both numbers and people, and who takes pride in keeping projects running smoothly to allow key decision makers to make informed choices.

If Successful, You Will

  • Set up new projects in the ERP system, ensuring all financial structures, coding, and budgets are correctly entered
  • Maintain and update project records to reflect contract changes, extensions, or scope adjustments
  • Maintain the accuracy of relevant accounting systems through the timely processing and management of purchase invoices
  • Track key project milestones and support regular reviews of project financials
  • Produce accurate and timely ad hoc reports on project financials, including cost tracking, budget utilisation, and revenue forecasting
  • Support the project lifecycle by ensuring systems and documentation are kept up to date
  • Assist with project invoicing, timesheet tracking, and month-end processes
  • Process and maintain supplier invoices and supplier ledgers.
  • Identify missing data and coordinating with relevant parties to quickly resolve
  • Contribute to improvements in financial and operational processes related to project delivery
  • Support the wider finance team across various tasks

Essential Requirements

  • Experience in a finance or accounting role, ideally with exposure to project environments
  • Strong Excel and data-handling skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work collaboratively with finance, operations, and delivery teams.
  • Experience of working with different stakeholders who have differing priorities across a business environment
  • Comfortable handling multiple priorities and meeting deadlines
  • Working towards AAT qualification preferred
