About The Role
Project Administrator
INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY
This part-time (0.5 FTE) post is available from 27th July 2026 till 30 August 2027. Applications for secondments will be considered subject to agreement from your current line manager.
Salary will be £30,628 per annum pro rata on Grade D subject to knowledge, skills and experience.
This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home.
The Global Systems Institute is a thought-leading, action-oriented research centre developing transformative solutions to global challenges. The Institute aims to better predict global changes through understanding the interactions between the climate, natural ecosystems, human social and economic systems, and the built environment.
Reporting to the Project Manager, this post will play an essential role in providing frontline administrative support for two Schmidt Sciences funded climate research projects: Carbon Loss In Plants Soils and Oceans (CALIPSO) and Combining LAnd-use, modelling and Remote-sensing to Transform carbon budgets (CLARiTy).
You will be responsible for supporting the project management team and ensuring the smooth running of the project. Amongst your responsibilities, you will be the first point of contact for enquiries, as well as being responsible for organising meetings (in person & hybrid), producing agendas and taking minutes, assisting with event organisation, setting up purchase orders and processing invoices. You will support a diverse range of tasks and, as such, you must be able to plan and prioritise a varied workload. You will also be required to work independently and be proactive and flexible. It is essential that you are able to demonstrate good communication skills.
