Project Administrator

Location: Bradley Stoke, Bristol

Employment Type: Permanent

Hours: 37 hours per week

About the Role

We are looking for a Project Administrator to join our Operations team in Filton. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, this role will provide essential administrative support across projects, working closely with both the Operations and Engineering teams.

You will play a key role in ensuring projects are set up correctly, tracked accurately, and run smoothly, while also acting as a point of contact with clients to help coordinate systems access and project requirements. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organised, proactive, and interested in developing a career in project support within a technical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Initiate, coordinate, and track customer IT and systems access to enable engineers to work within project environments
  • Liaise directly with customers to arrange system access, permissions, and onboarding requirements
  • Set up newly awarded projects within the Project Management System from setup to project closure
  • Ensure weekly project administration activities comply with the company’s Quality Management System
  • Assist with processing Purchase Orders and entering data into internal systems
  • Support monthly commercial and project tracking activities
  • Verify, input, and maintain accurate project data to support internal reporting
  • Support the continuous improvement of project processes and procedures
  • Provide general administrative support to the Operations department as required

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Confident communicator, able to liaise with internal teams and external clients
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage data accurately

Desirable

  • Previous experience in a Project Administrator or similar administrative role
  • Experience working within a project-based or technical environment (advantageous but not essential)
  • Experience with Microsoft Project or resource scheduling tools
  • Interested in identifying and implementing process improvements, automation, and AI-driven efficiencies to streamline business operations
  • Exposure to project resource planning and workforce forecasting
