Role Description

The Project Administrator is a full-time, on-site role based in Benfleet, supporting project teams working on civil and electrical infrastructure projects. The position is responsible for managing project documentation, maintaining accurate records, and updating project tracking systems. Daily tasks include:

The role also involves handling basic financial administration such as assisting with processing invoices, monitoring purchase orders, and assisting with budget tracking. The Project Administrator helps ensure smooth project delivery by providing reliable administrative support and responding promptly to operational needs.

Qualifications

  • Strong project administration skills, including document control, record keeping, and proficiency with project management or office software (e.g., MS Office, spreadsheets, collaboration tools).
  • Organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and support project schedules in a fast-paced infrastructure environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with project managers, site teams, clients, and suppliers in a clear and professional manner.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in preparing reports, managing data, and processing invoices or purchase orders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively on-site with diverse teams and to adapt to changing priorities and project requirements.
  • Previous experience in construction, civil engineering, rail, or similar infrastructure sectors is highly beneficial.
  • Relevant vocational training or a diploma/degree in business administration, project management, or a related field is an advantage.
