Pensions Projects & Engagement Manager

Salary: Up to £120,000 + Excellent Benefits

Are you an experienced pensions professional with a passion for delivering strategic change, leading complex projects and improving member engagement?

We're partnering with a leading UK organisation to recruit a Pensions Projects & Engagement Manager to join its established in-house pensions team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of a large pension function, leading high-profile projects, driving continuous improvement and enhancing the experience of pension scheme members.

Working closely with the Head of Group Pensions, you'll take ownership of a varied portfolio of strategic initiatives while collaborating with senior stakeholders across HR, Reward, Finance, Legal, Payroll and external advisers.

The Role

As Pensions Projects & Engagement Manager, you will:

  • Lead the delivery of complex pensions projects including scheme changes, benefit redesign, provider transitions, regulatory developments and governance improvements.
  • Develop and manage project plans, budgets, timelines, risk registers and governance documentation to ensure successful delivery.
  • Support the implementation of the organisation's long-term pensions strategy and translate strategic objectives into operational delivery.
  • Prepare high-quality reports, papers and recommendations for senior leadership and trustee meetings.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered in line with UK pensions legislation, regulatory requirements and governance standards.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, member experience and service delivery.
  • Oversee systems enhancements and support the implementation of new technologies to improve pension administration.
  • Design and deliver member engagement and communication strategies that are clear, accessible and fully compliant.
  • Lead member consultations and engagement exercises relating to pension changes and strategic initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, trustees, external advisers, administrators and participating employers.
  • Use member feedback and data insights to continually improve communications and engagement.
  • Support organisational change activities including acquisitions, disposals and wider business transformation projects.
  • Contribute to training and development initiatives, promoting continuous improvement across the pensions function.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
