Housing Architect / Project Architect – London
MADE Careers is working with a globally recognised, design-led architecture studio to appoint a Housing Architect / Project Architect within its London team.
About the Role
This role sits within an established residential team, delivering large-scale mixed-tenure housing schemes across London and the wider UK.
The studio is looking for someone with:
- Strong UK housing experience
- A passion for design-led residential projects at scale
- A focus on buildability, placemaking, and long-term social value
This is not a high-end residential position—instead, the emphasis is on:
- Complex, commercially aware housing-led developments
- Well-considered urban living environments
The team particularly welcomes Architects with 3–5 years’ experience, though experienced Part II Assistants or Project Architects with strong housing backgrounds will also be considered.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
