📍 Redhill, Surrey / Hybrid Working
Binnies, part of the RSK Group, is looking for a Project Billing Associate to join our growing Billing Team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with billing, finance administration or project accounting experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Based from our Redhill office, you are welcome to work in the office five days a week, however we also offer flexible and hybrid working arrangements, allowing you to split your time between home and the office.

The Role
As a Project Billing Associate, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate, timely and compliant billing across a diverse portfolio of projects. Working closely with Project Managers, Project Accountants and the wider Finance Team, you will help maintain financial records, prepare invoices and resolve billing queries.
This is a detail-oriented role that combines financial accuracy with strong communication and organisational skills.

Billing & Financial Administration
- Prepare, review and issue client invoices in line with project milestones, deliverables, time records and contractual requirements.
- Ensure billing activities align with client contracts, agreed rate cards and internal policies.
- Track billable hours, expenses and project costs to ensure accuracy.
- Identify and resolve billing discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure invoices issued appropriately cover the Work in Progress (WIP) position and work closely with Project Accountants to address any issues.
Reconciliation & Compliance
- Investigate and resolve client billing queries and discrepancies.
- Reconcile project accounts, expenses and time entries.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial standards and audit requirements.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Build strong working relationships with Project Managers, Finance teams and other stakeholders.
- Support month-end and year-end financial processes.
- Contribute ideas and insights to improve billing processes and operational efficiency.
Essential
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience in billing, project accounting or financial administration.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience using financial or project management systems such as Access Dimensions, FocalPoint, SAP, Oracle, Workday or similar.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Outlook, Teams and Excel.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines in a busy environment.

Desirable
- Experience within a project-based, engineering, consultancy or professional services environment.
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs and data validation.
- Experience using time recording systems such as FocalPoint, Workday or similar.
- Understanding of contract structures, including Time & Expense (T&E), Fixed Fee, Percentage Complete, Applications and Certifications.
