Project Building Surveyor – Client-side Estate (London)
Client: London-based organisation with a mixed-use estate portfolio featuring heritage Victorian assets and modern buildings.
** Role Overview**
Seeking a Capital Projects Manager / Building Surveyor to oversee refurbishment and value-add schemes across the portfolio. The role involves:
- Project management across a variety of capital works projects (internal and external),
- Fabric upgrades (c.£100,000 budget) to larger programmes (c.£3m budget)
- Coordination of external consultant teams for surveying and major works
- High-level reporting to senior stakeholders in estates, investment and asset teams
The ideal candidate is proactive, with a focus on asset protection, heritage conservation and regeneration.

Remuneration & Benefits
- Salary: £60,000 - £65,000

** Responsibilities**
- Oversee a portfolio of projects, managing both small-scale works and large-scale regeneration schemes
- Liaise with contractors, consultants and occupiers
- Ensure compliance with building regulations
- Monitor and analyse defect diagnosis, programme compliance
- Provide estate team updates on project progress
** Requirements**
- Qualification:
- BSc in Building Surveying or Project Management (preferable MRICS / MCIOB)
- Experience:
- 5+ years' experience in building surveying/project management
- Experience across residential, education, office/hotel assets preferred
- Technical & Interpersonal Skills:
- Strong defect diagnosis and compliance knowledge
- Programme management expertise
- Ability to engage contractors, consultants and tenants effectively
