Project Co Ordinator
Role Overview
Working with the Senior Project Manager and Project Managers, the Project Coordinator supports the delivery of drainage rehabilitation projects using CIPP/CIPR technologies. Working closely with the Project Manager and Operations Team, the role assists in planning, coordination, and monitoring of projects to ensure they are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.
The position requires:
- Strong organisational skills,
- Proactive communication with stakeholders, and
- The ability to manage multiple tasks while supporting the successful delivery of projects from planning through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Coordination
- Assist in the development and maintenance of detailed project plans in coordination with the Operations Team.
- Support the definition of project scope, including:
- Drainage repair requirements,
- Locations, and
- Timelines for CIPP/CIPR installations.
- Help coordinate activities between:
- Site teams,
- Subcontractors, and
- Internal departments to ensure efficient project delivery.
Stakeholder Communication
- Assist with communication between:
- Clients,
- Local authorities,
- Site teams, and
- Affected residents.
- Support the Project Manager in ensuring works are delivered with minimal disruption to communities.
- Provide timely updates to internal teams and stakeholders regarding project progress.
Site Assessments & Preparation
- Support site inspections and surveys to identify:
- Potential risks,
- Constraints, or
- Logistical challenges.
- Assist in gathering site data to support:
- Planning, and
- Operational decisions.
- Help ensure site readiness prior to mobilisation.

Resource & Logistics Support
- Assist the Operations Team with coordination of:
- Labour,
- Equipment,
- Materials,
- Subcontractors.
- Monitor resource utilisation and report inconsistencies to the Project Manager.
Risk Management
- Aid identification of project risks like:
- Ground conditions,
- Weather impacts,
- Utility conflicts,
- Site access restrictions.
- Support mitigation measures to minimise disruption.
Budget & Commercial Awareness
- Assist Project Manager and Commercial Manager with:
- Project cost tracking.
- Monitoring expenditures for labour, materials, and equipment.
- Identify and report potential cost variances.
Schedule Monitoring
- Maintain project schedules and track progress against milestones.
- Coordinate with teams and subcontractors to ensure works stay on schedule.
- Escalate delays to the Project Manager.
Quality Assurance
- Support quality checks during installations for compliance with industry standards.
- Assist with:
- Inspections, and
- Documentation relating to installation and delivery.
- Ensure integrity of repaired drainage systems.
Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance
- Support implementation of company HSE policies.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and company safety standards.
- Promote safe working across all project activities.

Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records, including:
- Site assessment records,
- Progress reports,
- Inspection records,
- Project changes or variations.
- Prepare reports for:
- Internal management, and
- Clients.
Client Support
- Assist in maintaining positive client relationships through professional communication.
- Support the Project Manager in meeting or exceeding client expectations.
Continuous Improvement
- Spot opportunities to streamline project processes.
- Contribute to post-project lessons learned.
Post-Project Support
- Aid in evaluations of project performance and outcomes.
- Support documentation and future project planning.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Strong organisational and coordination skills,
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills,
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines,
- Understanding of project delivery processes,
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Desirable
- Experience in:
- Drainage,
- Utilities,
- Civil engineering, or
- Trenchless technology.
- Knowledge of CIPP / pipe rehabilitation techniques.
- Experience working within water industry frameworks.
