Lancaster Medical School is seeking to appoint a Project Co-ordinator to join the award-winning team delivering the NIHR-funded GRACE project.
The GRACE project is developing new approaches and infrastructure to support decision-making in radiotherapy for gynaecological cancer. As the project enters its final phase, this role offers an opportunity to contribute to a high-profile programme of work and help deliver its final activities and outputs.
A key focus of the role will be supporting the planning and delivery of the GRACE Festival of Gynaecological Cancer, which will take place in February 2027. Working closely with the Project Manager and the wider project team, you will help coordinate this flagship event alongside a range of project administration activities.
The postholder will provide day-to-day administrative support to the project, including coordinating travel and accommodation, managing diaries and meetings, liaising with procurement colleagues, tracking purchases, and supporting the processing of fees and expenses for project team members and Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) contributors. The role will also involve organising meetings and events, preparing and circulating papers and materials, arranging venues and refreshments, and taking minutes where required.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
