Project Controller
Location: Fully Remote (UK)
Contract Duration: 12 Months
Rate: £236 p/day Umbrella OR £175 PAYE per day
Hours: 37 hours per week
IR35: Inside IR35
We're currently recruiting for a Project Controller to join Energy's Renewable Energy client, supporting the commercial execution of key service projects across the UK & Ireland.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a global leader in energy technology, playing a vital role in ensuring financial performance, compliance, and operational excellence across a portfolio of renewable energy projects.
The Role
As a Project Controller, you will partner closely with Commercial Project Managers and Operational Teams to drive strong financial governance and commercial performance throughout the project lifecycle.

This is a hands-on role requiring excellent attention to detail, strong SAP knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project lifecycles within SAP from order booking through to project closure
- Deliver forecasting, budgeting, and monthly variance analysis across cost centres
- Provide commercial insight and guidance on cost recovery and performance
- Prepare invoices, manage customer billing, and support cash collection activities
- Monitor accounts receivable and resolve billing and payment queries
- Support Commercial Project Managers with reporting, analysis, and commercial controls
- Manage internal charging and personnel hire-out activities
- Ensure compliance with Client commercial processes, controls, and policies
- Support audits and maintain accurate project documentation

What We're Looking For
- Part-qualified CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent
- 2-5 years' experience in project controlling, commercial finance, or project accounting
- Strong understanding of project or order accounting, revenue recognition, and IFRS fundamentals
- Advanced SAP and Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills
- Experience within energy, engineering, manufacturing, or industrial sectors is highly advantageous
