About the Role

We are looking for a highly capable Project Controller to lead the delivery of complex contract packages within a major nuclear programme. Ideal for technically astute project professionals who thrive in highly regulated, safety-critical environments and want to ensure seamless end-to-end delivery of mechanical equipment and valve packages.

Your key responsibility is to oversee safe, on-time, on-budget execution aligned with nuclear quality and technical standards, while collaborating across engineering, commercial, quality, manufacturing, and site teams to achieve programme success.

This role requires strong technical insight, commercial acumen, and discipline in implementing robust project controls within a multi-disciplinary and high-visibility programme.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery Governance

  • Drive contract and package delivery, ensuring adherence to safety, schedule, cost, and technical performance benchmarks.
  • Monitor programme progress—tracking milestones, risks, deadlines, and budget performance—with clear reporting to senior stakeholders.

Risk & Issue Management

  • Proactively identify, assess, and resolve contract-related risks while escalating concerns where necessary.
  • Oversee and mitigate NCRs (Non-Conformities), technical queries, and manufacturing challenges to maintain compliance and assurance.

Contract & Commercial Administration

  • Lead contract administration, including variations, claims, and commercial governance (with support from the Commercial Manager).
  • Manage supplier performance for up to 100+ Tier 2/Tier 3 contractors, ensuring adherence to nuclear safety and quality standards.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
