Up to £60,000 per annum plus an excellent benefits package (experience dependent)
We're looking for a highly analytical and commercially aware Project Controller to provide critical insight into project performance, enabling programme leadership to make informed decisions through accurate reporting, forecasting and analysis.
This is a unique opportunity to become part of the Strategic Resource Option (SRO) team delivering a high-profile, multi-million-pound capital programme. As our Project Controller, you will play a pivotal role in monitoring programme performance across cost, schedule, risk and delivery, ensuring robust controls and providing the information needed to support effective decision-making and successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide meaningful analysis and reporting on project cost, schedule, risk and performance.
- Support project planning, forecasting, and budget management activities.
- Develop and maintain project dashboards, reports, and performance metrics.
- Identify trends, risks, issues, and opportunities, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Support risk management and change control processes.
- Maintain accurate project controls data across systems and reporting platforms.
- Raise purchase orders, manage requisitions, and support financial processes.
- Support governance, assurance, and reporting requirements for senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement in reporting, controls, and data management processes.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in a Project Controls, Project Analyst, PMO, or similar project delivery role.
- Experience using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project and Power BI.
- Strong understanding of project performance reporting, forecasting, and analysis.
- Experience working on a major infrastructure, engineering, construction projects, utilities, or major capital programmes.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to analyse complex data and present clear, insightful recommendations.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Desirable:
- Experience within water, energy, transport, or utilities sectors.
- Understanding of NEC contracts and project governance frameworks.
- Degree-level qualification or professional accreditation (APM, PMI or equivalent).
