Project Controller

Job Location: Bournemouth, Dorset or Letchworth, Hertfordshire
(Hybrid working – 3 days office / 2 days home)

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: Excellent starting salary

Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday 8am – 4.30pm with a half day finish on a Friday

Founded over 90 years ago, this company have developed & grown every year to where they are now known for the design & manufacture of aerospace components and parts.

We are seeking an experienced Project Controller to join a global Aerospace manufacturer to be based from their site in either Bournemouth or Letchworth.

Working within a small projects team you will be working closely with approx. 65 engineers across the business. The projects team work around 25 projects at a time, they are a variety of high value, critical projects which range from 1 month to 2 years +.

You will be responsible for overseeing project management activities, ensuring that project timelines and budgets are adhered to, and providing insights that drive cost efficiency and project success. You will work closely with project managers and stakeholders to monitor progress, mitigate risks, and ensure that financial goals are met.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 2–3 years' experience in Project Controls, Project Management, or Cost Management within an engineering, manufacturing, aerospace, or similar technical environment.
  • Good understanding of project management methodologies such as PMI or PRINCE2.
  • Experience using Microsoft Project or similar project planning software.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Syteline, or equivalent for project financial management and reporting.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
