Everyone has an important role to play. With the power of many curious minds, together we can continue to solve the world’s most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.

Role description:

Resilience is one of Arcadis’ core business lines and operates across several sectors including water, energy, environmental, and industrial. We provide valued advice and support to leading clients who supply the population with the resources used in our daily lives. As a Project Controls Consultant, you will take a leading role in shaping and delivering high-quality project controls services across major energy programmes. You will provide direction to project teams, mentor junior colleagues, and apply strong technical and commercial judgement.

Role accountabilities:

  • As a senior professional, you will be accountable for:
  • Leading the planning, integration, and control of complex energy projects across the full lifecycle, applying advanced project controls methodologies.
  • Reviewing, assuring, and gathering key insights from programme data, resource-loaded schedules, and overseeing progress measurement and forecasting activities.
  • Designing, implementing, and improving project control systems, governance processes, and digital tools, including standard operating procedures and transformation initiatives.
  • Managing project information strategies within Common Data Environments and ensuring strong control of data quality and digital deliverables.
  • Supporting risk management activities, including risk identification, assessment, mitigation planning, and senior support to QSRA or QCRA modelling.
  • Overseeing cost control processes such as budget development, cost forecasting, earned value management, and integration of cost, schedule, and risk data.
  • Facilitating collaborative planning sessions and workshops to align delivery teams and resolve constraints.
  • Providing portfolio-level insight through integrated reporting, KPI development, and dashboard reporting.
  • Championing the use of digital tools, predictive analytics, and performance dashboards, to inform better decision-making.
  • Managing change control, ensuring strong documentation, traceability, and governance.
  • Building and maintaining productive relationships with internal teams, client organisations, and senior stakeholders.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
