To manage the A/E and CM partners executing the project to assure safe, compliant, on time and on budget execution we are looking for a Project Controls Engineer.

Project scope

The project timing is 16 months (for initial phase with potential extension for subsequent phase).

  • Retrofit of existing warehouse space (~15K sf) into a GMP Packaging Operation (1 Packaging Line only).
  • Admin Area.
  • Packaging Area (CNC) with gowning (packaging line already ordered and FAT planned in Feb '27.
  • Small 2-8 Deg C cold room for temporary storage.
  • Ambient GMP Warehouse for components storage.
  • Utilities.
  • Packaging line (1 of) - 400 V 3-phase 50.60 Hz and 230 V 1phase 50/60 Hz.
  • Compressed Air 120 psi to support the line + other users.
  • HVAC Units for Admin, CNC space & Ambient Warehouse space (DX units likely so no chillers).

Key responsibilities

  • Lead cashflow forecasting, vendor forecast reconciliation, invoice recording and accruals reporting to maintain accurate project financial baselines.
  • Prepare and maintain project progress and performance reports (cost, schedule, EHS, change & risk, documentation) using interactive dashboards for regular client presentations.
  • Develop, standardise and automate templates and cyclical project controls processes to increase efficiency and consistency across teams.
  • Support tender analyses, quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation and commercial validation during procurement and bidding phases.
  • Review contracts and assist with change management and approvals, including automating trackers and workflows to accelerate EWN/change order approvals.
  • Provide training and change adoption support to project teams and global counterparts on improved tools, automations and reporting practices.
  • Act as a digital ambassador: introduce and implement digital solutions (Power BI, Looker Studio, GSuite automations) that enhance data visualisation and team productivity.

Required skills and competencies

  • Project controls & monitoring: cashflow analysis, accruals reporting, progress reporting, change & risk tracking.
  • Data analytics & visualisation: experience building interactive dashboards (Power BI, Looker Studio) and producing client-ready presentations.
  • Commercial & estimating skills: quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, tender sum analyses, supplier negotiation awareness.
  • Technical background: civil/structural engineering understanding to interpret design and construction deliverables.
  • Digital savviness: automation, template standardisation, GSuite proficiency and willingness to champion digital change.
  • Communication & collaboration: able to coordinate with multinational teams, present to clients and deliver upskill trainings.

Qualifications & experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related).
  • 5–8 years’ relevant experience across project controls, cost/commercial management and structural/industrial engineering projects (life sciences beneficial).
  • GMP experience is advantageous.
  • Professional licensure (e.g., licensed Civil Engineer) and/or certifications such as Project Planning & Controls Practitioner, Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt are advantageous.
  • Technical skills: Proficiency in ERP/SAP/Primavera, budget tracking, forecasting, KPI reporting
  • Skills: Developing dashboards for the client, variance analysis, preparing project reviews, supporting operational teams
  • Languages: ENG

  • Proactive, detail-oriented and efficiency-driven with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Comfortable working across cultures and time zones; adaptable to client-facing and internal enabling roles.

Success indicators

  • Accurate and timely cashflow and accrual reporting with reduced variance to baseline.
  • Measurable productivity gains from automation and template standardisation (e.g., 20% reduction in cyclical task time).
  • Increased speed and throughput of change/order approvals following tracker automation.
