About the Role
As a Project Controls Engineer in the PMCM (Programme Soltuions) team, you’ll be at the heart of transformational transport and infrastructure projects worldwide. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams—including clients, designers, and operations—to ensure projects stay on track, on budget, and meet—even exceed—client expectations.
This is more than just ‘project management’; it’s about leading the delivery, optimising schedules, managing risks, and ensuring every phase of major projects runs like a finely tuned machine. With our global offices, client sites, and on-the-ground operations at your disposal, you’ll be part of a flexible yet integrated frontline—contributing critically to outcomes that matter most.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Champion schedule mastery: Support the creation, maintenance, and improvement of project schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project, and ASTA—turning complexity into clarity andinance precision.
- Monitor budgets with rigour: Track costs against estimates, flaging deviations before they derail progress. Share insights via regular reports to guide strategic decisions.
- Align teams and aim wider: Nurture collaboration across disciplines to keep projects on schedule and resource-optimized at all times. Act as a critical link—between plans, teams, and performace reviews.
- Unblock progress with data: Refine operations using Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques and refine reporting for smarter decision-making.
- Forecast risks, propose solutions: Identify high-level or concurrent risks early—offering validated recommendations to implement robust mitigation plans.
- Communicate with confidence: Present compelling project status and cost reports to clients and senior stakeholders, turning data into actionable insights.
- Stay ahead of trends: Proactively engage with evolving tools—a plus for Power BI and Data Analytics to deepen your impact further.

What We’re Looking For

Your Skills & Experience
✔ Hands-on experience with primaver scheduling tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, or ASTA) ✔ A working grasp of Earned Value Analysis (EVA/EVM) and industry-standard project controls methodologies ✔ Acute analytical skills: the ability to dissect complex financial and project data to flag risks or inefficiencies ✔ Attentiveness to detail—but with a flexible mindset to pivot when stakeholder needs evolve ✔ Excellent communication: you’ll speak to clients, design teams, and senior leads with clarity and confidence
