About the Role

As a Project Controls Engineer within the PMCM (Programme Solutions) group, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting groundbreaking global transport and infrastructure projects.

You’ll collaborate with multi-discipline teams to ensure seamless project progress, delivering high-quality outputs that meet client expectations—on time, on budget, and with clarity.

Your responsibilities will help shape the planning and execution of major initiatives, working closely with clients and design teams to optimise scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.

WSP fosters flexible working arrangements, encouraging you to be based in an office for a minimum of 3 days per week to engage effectively with clients and colleagues across WSP’s global offices, client sites, and field locations.

Your Team

You’ll be part of a diverse and dynamic Project and Commercial Management team, dedicated to delivering outstanding results for clients. With a strong workforce of Project Controls Managers from various backgrounds, this team thrives on collaboration, expertise, and a shared passion for excellence in delivering top-tier services.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor project costs and budgets, delivering regular reports and analytical insights to Project Managers
  • Support the development and maintenance of project schedules (tools include Primavera P6, MS Project, ASTA)
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of activities
  • Facilitate performance reporting and review processes, contributing to continuous improvement
  • Heliers etching the implementation of project controls processes—optimising methodologies and tools to enhance project performance
  • Prepare and present project status reports to clients and senior management
  • Develop and implement Earned Value Management (EVM), Aligning closely with project controls methodologies
  • Support risk management activities (identifying risks, assessing impact, devising mitigation strategies)
  • Conduct performance analysis, providing recommendations for optimising project outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and contractual requirements
  • Desirable: Exposure to PowerBI and Data Analytics for deeper project insights
