As the Project Controls Engineer within the PMCM (Programme Solutions) team, you will support global transport and infrastructure projects by ensuring seamless delivery, adhering to budget, and meeting client expectations. You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimise scheduling, costs, and resources while fostering strong client and team relationships.

Flexible working is actively encouraged, requiring a minimum of 3 office days per week to align with clients and colleagues. Our dynamic culture encourages innovative thinking, professional growth, and a commitment to continuous improvement.


What You’ll Do

You’ll join a diverse, high-performing team focused on delivering exceptional outcomes for clients. Your role will include:

  • Project Budget & Cost Monitoring

    • Track and analyse project costs, providing regular financial reports and insights to project managers.
  • Schedule Development & Maintenance

    • Support and refine project schedules using tools like Primavera P6, MS Project, and ASTA.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration

    • Work closely with clients, design teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure clear communication and seamless project coordination.

  • Performance Reporting

    • Facilitate and deliver comprehensive project status updates for both internal teams and external clients.
  • Risk & Compliance Oversight

    • Assist in risk assessment, mitigation planning, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making

    • Detailed familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM). Exposure to PowerBI and data analytics is highly desirable.
  • Process Improvement

    • Contribute to refining project controls methodologies and tools for enhanced performance.
  • Client & Leadership Presentations

    • Preparing and presenting project updates to clients and senior management.

You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in project controls, planning, or related fields.
  • Technical expertise in scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, teams, and stakeholders.
  • Comfort with remote collaboration and adherence to flexible working policies.
