About the Role

As a Project Controls Engineer within our PMCM (Programme Solutions) group, you’ll play a key role in supporting global transport and infrastructure projects. Working alongside multi-disciplinary teams, you’ll ensure smooth, time-efficient delivery of projects while meeting client expectations on quality, budget, and schedule.

In this role, you’ll make a meaningful impact by supporting the planning and execution of major projects, collaborating closely with clients and design teams—and ensuring that schedules, budgets, and resources are always optimised for success.

We operate globally, partnering with external clients, multi-disciplinary teams, and site locations. While we support flexible working arrangements (minimum 3 days in the office per week), we remain committed to seamless collaboration, integrating with colleagues and clients in a way that reduces silos and fosters innovation.

What We’ll Expect from You

To excel in this role, we’re looking for you to:

  • Monitor project costs, budgets, and financial performance; provide regular cost analysis and budgeting reports to project teams and management.
  • Support and maintain project schedules using industry tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, ASTA) and ensure adherence to deadlines.
  • Collaborate closely with the team to facilitate communication, coordination, and alignment across the project and with clients.
  • Contribute to delivering performance reporting—including monitoring progress, identifying variances, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Promote and implement the company’s project controls methodologies, ensuring universal standards and continuous improvement.
  • Assist in preparing and presenting project status reports to clients, senior management, and stakeholders—keeping everyone informed and aligned.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) and project controls best practices.
  • Participate in risk management processes, including identifying, assessing risks, and developing proactive mitigation plans.
  • Conduct performance assessments and recommend enhancements to support project efficiency and value delivery.
  • Uphold compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and industry standards.
  • A plus if you have experience in developing Power BI and data analytics—we actively seek individuals who appreciate leveraging tools to drive insight.
