This 12-month fixed-term contract will place you at the centre of a major transformation portfolio, supporting the successful delivery of projects worth tens of millions of pounds. Working across multiple projects and programmes, you'll provide the insight, oversight and controls needed to help teams stay on track and give leaders confidence in delivery performance.

You'll work closely with project and programme teams to monitor progress, challenge performance where needed, identify emerging risks and ensure robust controls are in place across the portfolio.

What will you be doing?

You'll play a key role in providing oversight and control across a major transformation portfolio, helping ensure projects remain on track against agreed scope, cost, schedule and risk commitments.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight of project and portfolio performance, monitoring progress against scope, cost, schedule and risk baselines.
  • Identify trends, variances and emerging risks, providing timely insight to support programme and portfolio decision-making.
  • Oversee change control, governance processes and performance reporting across a portfolio of transformation projects.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Who are we looking for?

You'll bring strong project controls experience gained within complex project, programme or portfolio environments. You'll understand how planning, cost control, risk management, change control and governance work together to support successful delivery.

Success in this role will come from your ability to build strong relationships, challenge constructively and transform complex information into clear, actionable insight.

We're open to candidates from a variety of sectors. Experience in nuclear is beneficial but not essential. We're keen to hear from people who have worked in other complex, highly regulated or programme-driven environments.

Key requirements:

  • Proven experience in project controls, programme controls or portfolio controls environments.
  • Strong understanding of scope, cost, schedule, risk and change control processes.
  • Experience producing and interpreting performance information to support delivery and governance.
  • Ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Experience working with project planning tools and schedules, including Primavera P6 or similar, would be beneficial, but by no means essential.

If you're looking for an opportunity to apply your project controls expertise within a major transformation programme, while helping improve delivery confidence and portfolio performance, we'd love to hear from you.
