About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Controls Manager to join our growing team, based in our Edinburgh office.
The Project Controls Manager will join our Scotland Project Controls team, partnering with clients to deliver best-practice Controls, Planning, Analytics, Reporting, Risk, Change, Resource, and Performance Management solutions across multiple sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the programme controls function for a multi-project infrastructure programme
- Monitor accrucy and consistency of plans, cost, safety, environment, and performance reporting
- Deploy controls team resources effectively
- Reviewing new project proposals/remits, ensuring realistic and resourceable plans are developed
- Identify resourcing requirements, liaising with planning functions to resolve issues
- Provide daily reporting to Programme and Project Managers on:
- Plans
- Costs
- Safety
- Environment
- Programme performance
- Ensure data input into cost and performance systems meets required standards
- Manage production of Investment Plans
- Comply with the Investment Competence Framework

SOX Control Responsibilities (where applicable)
- Adhere to SOX compliance requirements as required
Demand-Setting Requirements
- Extensive experience in planning and scheduling, including:
- Schedule development, control, and analysis
- Conducting in both field and home-office environments
- Relevant construction infrastructure sector experience, including:
- Defence
- Rail
- Aviation
- Highways
- Nuclear
- Power
- Energy
- Water projects
- Strong communication skills (oral and written)
- Proficiency with PC operating systems and basic software applications
- Advanced proficiency in:
- Primavera (P6)
- Microsoft Office suite
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of:
- Engineering
- Procurement & contract management
- Construction & start-up processes
