New Job Opportunity – Project Coordination Engineer – 12 Month PAYE Contract – Based in Basingstoke

Contract: 12 Month Ongoing

IR35 Status: Inside IR35 PAYE

Rate: Negotiable dependent on experience

Hybrid: Flexible 12 days per month to work from home

Role Overview

The Project Coordination Engineer supports the Engineering Manager in the coordination and execution of engineering activities across all phases of a project. The role focuses on technical delivery, cross-discipline coordination, and ensuring compliance with applicable standards and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Procedures, Standards & Quality

  • Support the Engineering Manager in implementing engineering procedures and workflows
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations
  • Work with HSEQ teams to support audits and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Identify, report, and help resolve non-conformances and corrective actions

Technical & Project Delivery

  • Contribute to the Project Engineering Execution Plan (PEEP)
  • Support coordination of engineering activities and manage assigned work packages
  • Oversee engineering execution to maximise value and efficiency
  • Participate in design and HSEQ reviews
  • Monitor project schedules, costs, and progress
  • Support risk management and change management processes
  • Coordinate and manage technical interfaces across disciplines
  • Support cost estimation activities and consolidate outputs for the Engineering Manager

Systems & Digital Tools

  • Ensure correct setup and use of the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS)
  • Maintain document control in line with corporate procedures
  • Support implementation of digital tools and engineering platforms
  • Assist with Life Cycle Information (LCI) system setup and data governance

Stakeholder & Relationship Management

  • Act as an engineering interface for technical coordination matters
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers
  • Promote a value-driven and collaborative engineering culture

Organisation & Leadership

  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and deliverables
  • Coordinate and support discipline engineers where required
  • Assist with resource planning and workload monitoring
  • Coordinate the close-out of engineering actions and deliverables

Essential

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (BEng or equivalent) in Engineering
  • Proven experience supporting engineering coordination and project execution
  • Experience in planning, scheduling, cost/progress control, and forecasting
  • Knowledge of risk and change management processes
  • Experience working in multicultural and multi-location project teams

Desirable

  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards it
