About Your Team
The Client Services Team project manages the delivery of many of the Council’s highest priority construction projects. The team also delivers contract management of the Councils PFI contracts.
Role and Main Responsibilities
We are looking for a Project Coordinator to join our dedicated team in the Growth Department. This role is an opportunity to make a real difference in our vibrant and diverse city.
The Main Responsibilities Of This Role
- To provide high level professional and administrative support for the Project Managers.
- To plan and manage the execution of specific projects as agreed.
- To maintain the project management tools, e.g. Risk Register, Issues Logs, Change Control process, and Milestone Plans, etc.
- To help to plan, and then to make arrangements for implementing all aspects of project-related visits and meetings with a wide range of organisations.
- To organise and ensure follow-up to project meetings, take and circulate minutes, and ensure that actions are followed through.
- To work in accordance with Council Financial Regulations and Standing Orders to manage financial administration and to manage the resources of the team.
- To foster, develop, and maintain constructive working relationships with key stakeholder groups including Elected Members and Senior Officers of the Council and other partner organisations.
- To prepare reports and briefing notes as necessary on projects, policy, new initiatives, and current issues.
- To develop and maintain an up-to-date level of knowledge of current and relevant information which relates to the procurement and delivery of a capital delivery programme and to investigate, share, and transfer best practice to improve skills and capacity within the Council.
- To review and advise on changes to the management of capital schemes in order to improve the effectiveness of delivery.
- To implement agreed changes to the management and delivery of capital programmes.
- To organise scheme reviews on projects, providing feedback as necessary.
- To undertake any other duties as required commensurate with the post grade.
