The Vacancy
Central Alliance, part of the RSK Group, have an exciting new opportunity for a Project Co-ordinator to join their Instrument & Monitoring team in Wakefield, UK.
The Role
This is an office-based role with occasional site visits, not less than two per quarter, for safety auditing and technical familiarisation. The role has the ability for working from home up to two days per week, following a successful training and integration period.
Accountable to the Principal Engineer in the Instrumentation & Monitoring department, this role would suit someone with a passion for keen organisational skills, project work experience, and background knowledge of working in a contracting environment.
We are seeking someone who is looking to be upskilled in order to gain autonomy in role within the geotechnical / engineering field, working for a forward-thinking, rapidly expanding company that invests in the learning and development of its people.
As the successful candidate, you will sit within the Instrumentation & Monitoring division, where you will be exposed to extensive collective experience within the organisation, the latest technology, and leading academic research. Your work, experience, and inputs will be helping to find solutions to industry challenges and problems.
Accountabilities
- Coordinate, programme, and plan resources, allocating suitably competent personnel and equipment to projects, focusing on maximising efficiencies and maintaining safe working practices.
- Support Senior and Principal Engineers in managing daily job requirements including addressing and troubleshooting site issues relating to personnel, equipment, logistics, health and safety compliance.
- Producing, managing, and reporting on SHEQ documentation and information (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality).
- Processing and managing monitoring data from a wide range of geotechnical instrumentation on site (full training provided).
- Act as client and intercompany liaison, ensuring professional and high-quality project delivery and relationship maintenance.
- Supporting business improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, and ways of working.
- Carry out quality assurance and quality control (QAQC) on inbound and outbound documentation and monitoring data collected on sites.
- Ensure data and reports are issued timeously to clients and meets expected reporting standards.
- Supported by the company, maintain and develop technical knowledge, such as British Standards and industry standards.
- Undertaking internal and external training, as part of personal professional development plan.
- Adhere to all RSK company policies and adhere to client policies and procedures.

- Project coordination experience, ideally within a contracting business.
- Ability to follow instructions, work part of a multi-disciplinary team, and also work solo, using own initiative.

- Ability to conduct business in a professional and polite manner at all times.
- Commitment to safety, health, environment, and quality, and improving ways of working.
