Project Coordinator – MA Healthcare (12 month maternity cover)
Hybrid (Herne Hill, 3 days in office)
The salary is £31,000-£34,000 (DOE) plus company benefits.
About the Role
We are looking for a Project Coordinator to join MA Healthcare on a 12-month maternity cover contract.
As Project Coordinator, you will play a key role in shaping, delivering and improving client-sponsored content and communications across print, digital and events. Working within our Medical Communications team at MA Healthcare, you will support the delivery of high-quality publications and activities including supplements, guides, webinars, consensus documents, podcasts, and conferences.
You will be joining a dynamic, friendly, and delivery-focused team, with support and guidance from an experienced Project Manager. You may also be required to travel within the UK and internationally to attend conferences and events.
This is a great role for someone who enjoys taking ownership, stays calm under pressure, and takes pride in delivering well-organized projects on time and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
As a Project Coordinator, you will:
- Support the Senior Project Manager in delivering client-sponsored healthcare projects across publications and activities.
- Manage and track multiple projects using project management tools, ensuring clear progress updates and timely delivery.
- Commission editorial content, research authors and medical writers, and manage relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate peer review, ensuring feedback is delivered on time and to the required standard.
- Monitor editorial and press schedules, keeping projects on track with deadlines and budgets.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients and internal teams, providing clear and consistent communication.
- Work closely with Sales, updating them on project progress, while managing quotes, proposals, and budgets accurately.
- Liaise with Accounts on author payments and attend conferences, meetings, and events as required.

Requirements
Must-Haves
- Previous experience in project coordination or project support, ideally within publishing, healthcare, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence liaising with a range of stakeholders.
- A proactive and detail-focused approach, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- A genuine interest in medical communications, publishing, and the healthcare sector.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Lists, and experience using project management tools.
Nice-To-Haves
- Experience in medical communications, editorial, or journalism.
- Familiarity with Adobe tools such as InDesign, Photoshop, or Illustrator.
- Experience supporting conferences, webinars, or other live and digital events.
