Project Coordinator (Accessibility Policy) – Policy Connect

Overview

  • Job Title: Project Coordinator (Accessibility Policy)
  • Reporting To: Director of the ATech Policy Lab
  • Location: Westminster, London (hybrid, minimum 1 day/week in office during probation)
  • Contract: Part-time, 17.5 hours per week (0.5 FTE)
  • Pay: £26,936–£32,000 pro-rata (per experience)
  • Fixed-Term: 12-month contract with 3-month probation; extension or permanent conversion possible
  • Start: As soon as possible
  • Closing Date: Sunday 19 July 2026 (23:59)
  • Interviews: 27–31 July 2026 (in-person or remote)

About the Role

Policy Connect seeks an ambitious Project Coordinator to work within the accessibility policy team, specialising in assistive and accessible technology (ATech). This role involves delivering research, policy events, and stakeholder engagement with significant impact on government decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

You will focus on:

  • Organising policy events:
    • Researching topics, speakers, and attendees
    • Writing pre-event background briefings
    • Preparing post-event outcomes papers
  • Policy monitoring, including annual ATech policy briefings, and tracking relevant legislative developments
  • External communications, such as LinkedIn prose and quarterly newsletters
  • Managing stakeholder databases and engagement
  • Future adaptability: Medium-to-long-term focus flexible based on candidate skills and interests

Role Requirements

Essential

  • Passion for disability and technology policy
  • Strong organisational and project management skills
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement abilities
  • Competent writing and desk-research skills, with the ability to synthesise complex information into concise, clear summaries
  • Ability to work autonomously, leveraging initiative and discerning when to seek support

Desirable

  • Experience in policy or public affairs
  • Background in technology or disability sectors
  • Previous experience in organising public events
