Job Description

S.I.M ltd completes projects nationwide for various different clients within the telecoms and highway industry. From building large telecoms sites to installing CCTV cameras on highways, the role includes managing and maintaining these aspects of the business. The role offers a fantastic opportunity to grow and develop along with the business, with plenty of training.

Working in our office in Peasmarsh, Guildford – As a project coordinator you will work closely with the Project Manager and will be liaising with subcontractors, suppliers, site staff, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget - communication is key.

Job Summary

The Project Coordinator supports the successful planning, execution, and delivery of telecommunications projects by coordinating project activities, maintaining schedules, tracking deliverables, and facilitating communication between internal teams, customers, and external vendors. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate telecommunication projects from initiation through completion.
  • Assist Project Managers in developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, and documentation.
  • Track project milestones, deliverables, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and customer requirements.
  • Support billing, invoicing, and project financial tracking where applicable.
  • Assist with project close-out activities, including documentation, customer acceptance, and lessons learned.
  • Dealing with queries from subcontractors and clients.

If you have great attention to detail, a confident telephone manner, great organisation skills, proficiency in using various computer systems (Excel, Office, Sage) whilst being a keen learner, this could be the role for you.

Requirements

  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Previous administration work would be beneficial – ideally including an accounts system such as Sage.
  • Be able to work under pressure.
  • Have a basic knowledge of site working and H&S.
