Project Coordinator

Role Overview

  • Location: Watford/Hybrid (3 days per week on site)
  • Package: £30,000- £35,000pa & benefits
  • Industry: Utilities

What You'll Be Doing

  • Take ownership of smaller IT and business projects, managing them from planning through to successful completion.
  • Coordinate release management activities and support smaller data-focused initiatives.
  • Work alongside Project Managers and PMO colleagues to keep larger project workstreams on schedule.
  • Manage project timelines, monitor progress and proactively identify risks or potential delays.
  • Resolve day-to-day project challenges independently, escalating where appropriate.
  • Keep project plans, Jira boards and delivery updates accurate and up to date.
  • Produce clear project status updates, meeting notes and action trackers for stakeholders.
  • Coordinate meetings, governance activities and project logistics across multiple teams.
  • Build strong relationships with internal departments, suppliers and third-party partners.
  • Support onboarding activities for new tools, platforms and team members where required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and identifying opportunities to improve future delivery.

Main Skills Needed

  • Experience supporting or delivering small projects within an IT, data or project environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Confident making day-to-day decisions within agreed project scope.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across different levels.
  • Working knowledge of Jira, or the ability to learn new project tools quickly.
  • A proactive mindset with strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can evolve.
  • Highly personable individual.
  • Experience with release management, data projects, Confluence or SharePoint would be advantageous.
  • Experience working in the Utilities sector would be advantageous.
