Project Coordinator

Req Number: 100207
Location: Newcastle
Directorate: Economics, Performance & Planning

Want to play a key role in delivering a smarter, more resilient energy future?

The energy industry is evolving rapidly, with increased investment in smart technology and innovation. Northern Powergrid, responsible for powering everyday life for 8 million customers across 3.9 million homes and businesses in the North East, Yorkshire and northern Lincolnshire, is at the forefront of delivering a power network that meets regional needs now and in the future.

We are looking for a proactive and highly organised Project Coordinator to support the Economic Analysis, Performance and Planning team. In this role, you will be responsible for organising meetings and orchestrating plan deliverables, working closely with senior programme leads and stakeholders across the business to coordinate and develop a single, cohesive company-wide plan.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a structured PMO environment, enjoys collaborating across teams, and wants to make a meaningful contribution in a purpose-led organisation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
