Make a Difference in Data Architecture and Engineering
This role sits in a fast paced, dynamic data architecture team who are adding huge value to programs of work across the organisation. Joining an immediate team of 4, you will take the lead as one of the project data architects ensuring that the ‘centre of excellence,’ objectives run through every project across all business units.
Your Impact
Here’s how you’ll make a difference:
- Build strong partnerships across Data Engineering, Architecture, Governance and Data Quality teams to ensure trusted, well-governed data that supports confident decision-making across the business.
- Design and implement effective data architecture, modelling and master data solutions that create a single, reliable foundation for reporting, analytics and customer insight.
- Enable seamless data flow across systems through modern integration approaches, helping the organisation unlock greater value from its data and improve operational efficiency.
- Drive the development of scalable, cloud-based data platforms that support business growth, future innovation and the delivery of strategic transformation programmes.
- Provide data architecture leadership across complex change initiatives, influencing stakeholders, resolving challenges and delivering high-quality solutions that enhance customer outcomes and long-term business value.

What You’ll Bring
- You’ll have experience working collaboratively with Data Engineering, Architecture and Technology teams to deliver practical, business-focused data solutions that create real value for stakeholders and customers.
- A strong background in data architecture, data modelling, data mapping and master data management, with the ability to design scalable solutions that support reporting, analytics and future business growth.
- Extensive experience building and enhancing enterprise data platforms, such as data lakes, data hubs and operational data stores, ideally within cloud environments, with Azure experience being particularly beneficial.
- A good understanding of modern data integration approaches, including APIs, GraphQL, JSON and XML, alongside hands-on experience with tools such as SQL, Python and Databricks. Exposure to Power BI would be an added advantage.
- An approachable and proactive mindset, with the confidence to lead data architecture initiatives, engage stakeholders across the business, solve complex challenges and drive improvements in data quality, efficiency and overall business outcomes within Agile environments.
