Project Delivery, Telecoms and Unified Communications
Salary: £45,000 plus benefits
Location: Hybrid
Contract: Full time, permanent
The Opportunity:
We are working with an established and growing technology solutions provider specialising in telecommunications, unified communications and business connectivity. They are looking for an experienced Project Delivery Manager to take ownership of customer projects from initial handover through to successful completion.
This is a hands-on, client-facing role for someone who understands the delivery of telecoms and unified communications solutions. You will work closely with customers, engineers, suppliers, sales teams and senior stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the agreed standard.
Previous experience within telecommunications, unified communications, connectivity, voice or a closely related managed communications environment is essential. Candidates without relevant sector experience will not be considered.
The Role:
You will manage several customer projects at the same time, providing clear communication, strong project control and a consistently high level of service. Projects may include:
- Unified communications and hosted voice solutions
- Microsoft Teams Voice and telephony deployments
- Business connectivity and networking projects
- Mobile and fixed-line telecoms services
- Contact centre and communications platforms
- Technology migrations, installations and customer onboarding
Key Responsibilities:
Project Delivery:
- Take ownership of telecoms and unified communications projects from sales handover through to completion
- Create and maintain project plans, delivery schedules, documentation and status reports
- Coordinate engineers, technical teams, suppliers, carriers and third-party partners
- Ensure projects are delivered against agreed scope, timescales, budgets and quality standards
- Track milestones, actions, dependencies and outstanding deliverables
- Manage multiple customer projects with different levels of complexity
- Ensure completed projects are handed over effectively to operational and support teams

Customer and Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the main point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle
- Lead project kick-off meetings, progress calls and customer reviews
- Provide clear and regular updates on delivery progress
- Manage customer expectations professionally and confidently
- Identify and resolve risks, delays, technical dependencies and delivery issues
- Build strong working relationships with customers, suppliers and internal teams
- Escalate issues appropriately while maintaining ownership of the overall project
Commercial and Operational Management:
- Monitor project budgets, resources and commercial performance
- Manage changes to project scope through formal change control
- Support project forecasting, billing readiness and financial reporting
- Work closely with sales teams to confirm that customer requirements can be delivered successfully
- Identify opportunities to improve customer service and project delivery processes
- Ensure project records and documentation remain accurate and up to date
About You:
You will be organised, commercially aware and confident dealing directly with customers. You will enjoy taking ownership, solving problems and driving projects through to completion.
You must have experience working for a telecoms, unified communications, connectivity, voice, managed communications or closely related technology provider.
Essential Experience:
- Project management or project delivery experience within telecommunications or unified communications
- Experience delivering customer-facing voice, connectivity, networking or communications projects
- A good understanding of the telecoms project lifecycle, from order and provisioning through to installation and customer handover
- Experience coordinating technical teams, engineers, suppliers and third-party providers
- Strong customer and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines
- Experience maintaining project plans, risks, actions, budgets and delivery reports
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills

Desirable Experience:
- Experience delivering Microsoft Teams Voice, hosted telephony, SIP, connectivity, networking or contact centre solutions
- Familiarity with telecoms carriers, provisioning processes and number porting
- Experience working within a telecoms reseller, managed service provider or managed communications business
- Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall or hybrid project delivery methods
- PRINCE2, Agile or another recognised project management qualification
