Role Description
The Project Director role is a full-time, on-site position based in Luton. The Project Director will oversee multiple construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Responsibilities

- Leading project planning
- Coordinating design and build activities
- Managing project teams and subcontractors
- Maintaining strong communication with clients and stakeholders
The role involves:
- Monitoring project performance
- Managing risks
- Resolving issues
- Ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and contractual requirements
Additionally, the Project Director will:
- Contribute to business development
- Support bid and tender processes
- Drive continuous improvement in project delivery
Qualifications
- Proven experience in leading large-scale construction or design & build projects in Residential, Commercial, or Industrial sectors.
- Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and contract administration.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams, manage subcontractors, and coordinate with clients and consultants.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to represent the company professionally.
- Solid understanding of construction methods, building regulations, health and safety standards, and quality assurance practices.
- Relevant academic background such as a degree or professional qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proficiency with project management and construction software tools, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in business development, tendering, or bid management within the construction industry is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Luton, manage multiple priorities, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
