Are you an accomplished Project Director with a proven track record of leading major engineering or infrastructure programmes?
This is an exceptional opportunity to take strategic ownership of a high-profile healthcare estate, delivering a complex portfolio of engineering, infrastructure and decarbonisation projects that will directly support one of the UK's leading teaching hospitals.
Working at the forefront of sustainable infrastructure, you'll lead multidisciplinary teams, manage key client relationships and drive the successful delivery of projects that improve critical healthcare environments while supporting the journey to Net Zero.
The Opportunity
As Project Director, you'll be the senior leader responsible for a major client programme, overseeing multiple projects from early design through construction, commissioning and handover.
You'll provide strategic direction across commercial performance, programme delivery, governance and operational excellence while acting as the trusted senior partner to your client.

This is a highly visible leadership position where you'll influence business strategy, develop high-performing teams and deliver projects that have a lasting impact on healthcare infrastructure.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Providing strategic leadership across a portfolio of complex engineering and construction projects.
- Building and maintaining trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders.
- Leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects safely, on time and within budget.
- Driving commercial performance, financial governance and programme delivery.
- Managing project risk, contractual compliance and operational excellence.
- Supporting business growth through opportunity identification, bid support and client development.
- Championing innovation, sustainability and continuous improvement.
- Developing and mentoring Project Managers and delivery teams.
About You
You'll be an experienced senior project leader who thrives in complex, live operational environments and enjoys building long-term client partnerships.
You'll bring:
- Significant leadership experience delivering major engineering, infrastructure or Energy Performance Contract (EPC) programmes
- A proven track record managing complex project portfolios valued up to £50m
- Strong commercial acumen, including P&L responsibility and financial governance
- Experience leading multidisciplinary delivery teams and specialist contractors
- Sound knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contracts
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage at Executive and Board level
