Chronos Energy are looking to recruit a Project Director to lead major decarbonisation and energy infrastructure programmes., shape client relationships and deliver lasting impact.
We're looking for an experienced Project Director to take strategic and operational ownership of a key client programme or portfolio of projects. This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving performance across cost, quality, programme, safety and client satisfaction while leading multi-disciplinary teams from design through to construction, commissioning and handover.
This role will support the delivery of a major programme within the trust, a live acute healthcare environment where maintaining operational continuity is critical. We are seeking a Project Director with a strong construction delivery background who can confidently lead complex projects through challenging site constraints, stakeholder demands and operational interfaces. Significant experience in construction management, programme coordination and the successful delivery of large-scale engineering or infrastructure projects is essential, alongside a strong understanding of CDM Regulations, Building Regulations compliance, and site safety management systems (including RAMS and SMS). A valid CSCS card and SMSTS qualification (or equivalent) are required.

What you'll be doing:
- Leading the successful delivery of complex engineering and energy projects worth up to £50m
- Acting as the senior point of contact for clients, building trusted strategic relationships
- Providing governance and leadership across commercial, financial, operational and QSHE performance
- Managing and developing Project Managers and Site Managers to create high-performing teams
- Driving continuous improvement, innovation and sustainability across project delivery
- Supporting business growth through client development, bids and future opportunities

What we're looking for:
- Proven experience leading major project portfolios within engineering, construction or energy environments
- Strong construction management and project delivery expertise on complex sites
- Strong commercial acumen with P&L responsibility and contract management expertise
- Experience managing senior stakeholders and multi-disciplinary delivery teams
- In-depth knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts and the full EPC project lifecycle
- Strong understanding of CDM Regulations, Building Regulations, RAMS and site safety systems
- CSCS card and SMSTS (or equivalent) essential
- A passion for sustainability, Net Zero and delivering exceptional client outcomes
