About the Role
KBR is seeking a Project Director for LNG Projects. As the key leader, you’ll oversee the technical and commercial execution of projects across KBR’s LNG Project Portfolio, reporting directly to the Director of Projects.
This opportunity involves FEED (Front-End Engineering and Design) and detailed design projects across the LNG value chain, from conception to full-scale implementation. You’ll lead projects in greenfield/grassroots or brownfield settings, ensuring technical and commercial excellence while maintaining financial and schedule accountability.
Key responsibilities include:
-
Technical and Commercial Leadership
- Safeguarding project execution aligned with client expectations, cost controls, and contract compliance, ensuring financial success.
- Meeting and exceeding performance benchmarks for budget, schedule, HSE, client satisfaction, and project quality.
-

- Influencing internal and external stakeholders to drive project alignment and achieve shared objectives.
-
Team Management & Portfolio Leadership
- Building and maintaining high-performing project delivery teams across global locations/time zones both single large assignments (e.g., detailed design/grassroots FEED) and multi-client portfolios (smaller-scale projects across multiple clients).
- Supporting business development through client engagement, proposal refinement, and competitive bid strategies.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
