Job Summary
This role provides leadership to a multi-disciplinary team responsible for the end-to-end delivery of infrastructure and property development projects, including enhancing public roadways, bridges, and construction logistics across Entertainment & Resort Complexes (ERCs).
The Project Director ensures seamless project execution, aligning with budget, schedule, creative, and guest experience objectives. Responsibilities span:
- Directing strategic project planning, commercial management, stakeholder coordination, design integration, construction execution, and commissioning
- Minimising project risks, claims, disputes, change orders, and interface disruptions
- Maintaining exemplary field operations, schedule, and quality control
- Developing high-performing internal, consultant, and contractor teams (with efficient document control processes)

- Establish scope and schedule requirements, develop budgets and financial plans, manage procurement, and coordinate SOG deliveries, permitting, and governmental compliance.
- Investigate and validate technical programs through design, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Ensure approval and compliance with:
- Construction Safety Plans
- Environment Health & Safety (EHS) policies
- CDM regulations and statutory requirements
- Oversee integrated logistics and site management (for ERCs), including public roadways, bridges, rail stations, and third-party developments.
- Implement efficient document control, ensuring adherence to:
- Construction contracts
- Correspondence & RFIs (Requests For Information)
- Design and Construction Drawings
- Meeting minutes / action trackers
- Allowances for guard list items and notices
- Build/pay applications
- Maintain strict budget and schedule discipline throughout project phases.
- Lead direct reports in mentorship, professional development, and growth opportunities within Universal Destinations & Experiences (UDX).
- Report key project parameters (budget, schedule, progress) promptly to upper management.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure universal EHS safeguards through staff training, compliance audits, and crisis response protocols.
Auxiliary Duties
- Assignment of additional ad-hoc responsibilities as dictated by operational demands.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in:
- Civil Engineering
- Construction Management
- Project Management
- Related field
Experience & Technical Competencies
✔ 10+ years in construction project management or facility development ✔ Delivery experience across design and build phases (venue infrastructure, roadways, rail, structures) ✔ Proven track record in:
- Scheduling (e.g., critical path design, logistical sequencing)
- Cost estimation and budgetary control
- Procurement & bidding processes (tender negotiations, vendor management)
- Change order risk mitigation
- Constructability reviews
- Administration of complex agreements (bespoke contracts, development agreements)

✔ Hands-on expertise in:
- Site logistics coordination, field execution
- third-party developer projects (e.g., cross-organization hostility resolution)
- Interface and stakeholder management
✔ Ability to:
- Interpret technical drawings, specs, submittals, and solutions
- Ensure adherence to modern IT workflows (document control) (PowerApps, Teams)
- Run hazard assessments and risk mitigation plans
Technical Proficiencies
✔ Familiarity with:
- Bluebeam (or PDF from electronic documents)
- AutoCAD / Revit (preferred for E&R infrastructure)
✔ Software skills:
- Microsoft Excel (advanced边 use for budget, cost management)
- Word (correspondence, reports)
- Project (scheduling)
- Power BI
- Planner (task/action tracking)
Leadership & Soft Skills
✔ Strong stakeholder collaboration (vendors, consultants, contractors, legal) ✔ Bespoke contract and legal experience (dealing with SOGR, design agreements) ✔ Travel preparedness (frequent UK travel, regional and occasional international) ✔ Security clearance preference (SIA licensing / Executive Security Certification)
