Project Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical)
Permanent Role – North East England – Remuneration dependent on experience

Opportunity
The opportunity offers the chance to join a leading UK engineering contractor delivering complex mechanical and electrical packages on a landmark energy infrastructure project in the North East.
Working as part of a highly skilled project delivery team, you will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of technically challenging engineering works. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Engineer looking to further develop their career while gaining exposure to a nationally important decarbonisation programme.
In this role, you will support the delivery of engineering packages from design through to completion, working closely with Project Managers, Site Teams, Subcontractors and Suppliers. Responsibilities will include:

- Coordinating technical activities
- Reviewing engineering information
- Supporting project planning
- Managing technical queries
- Ensuring works are delivered safely, on time and to the required quality standards
Your background
To excel in this role, you should have experience within a Mechanical OR Electrical engineering environment and a strong understanding of project delivery.
We are keen to speak with candidates from:
- Mechanical Building Services backgrounds
- Electrical Building Services backgrounds
- MEP Contracting environments
- Industrial, Energy, Power or Process Engineering sectors
- Main Contracting / Engineering Delivery backgrounds
This opportunity would suit experienced Project Engineers, as well as Engineers looking to progress from a technical engineering position into a project delivery role.
Strong communication skills, technical knowledge and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders are essential. Experience working on complex engineering projects within regulated or critical infrastructure environments would be advantageous.
