The role will require close collaboration with our Technical, Operational Excellence, Manufacturing, Quality, Product Development, and site-based teams in both the UK and Germany.

This is a full-time, hybrid working role (3 days a week in the office in Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire) with substantial travel to our Altro Germany Manufacturing plant in Dessau, Germany.

What will you be doing?

The role will use structured problem-solving to assess work completed to date, identify the technical and operational gaps, define a clear route forward, and support the implementation of robust, sustainable solutions into production.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Structured problem-solving across Dessau and Letchworth.
  • Assessment of current work, technical gaps, and implementation barriers.
  • Planning and delivery of a structured route forward for our flooring products.
  • Cross-functional stakeholder engagement across Technical, Manufacturing, Quality, Operational Excellence, and Product Development.
  • Translation of development activity into stable, repeatable manufacturing processes.
  • Identifying what is required to consistently produce a product of suitable quality, minimizing scrap and the likelihood of customer complaints.
  • Working with the Technical teams to understand what machine/engineering capability is needed in the production line to enable future product development. To take those insights and translate those into capex projects.
  • Working with the Technical and Quality teams to develop testing routines to ensure that the product manufactured meets the specifications.
  • Work with suppliers of key raw materials to better understand their products, the development of their products, and how their products can be best incorporated and used to create a robust, high-quality end product for Altro.
  • Using problem-solving methodology to investigate problems and developmental hurdles to ensure quick and effective resolutions that key stakeholders can agree on.
  • Documenting the developmental journey to ensure that the organization understands and retains the learnings.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
