Project Engineer
Project Engineer – Gas Sector Home-based | UK-wide travel Permanent | Competitive salary + benefits
We’re partnering with a leading organisation in the gas sector to recruit a Project Engineer to support the delivery of technically complex gas infrastructure projects across the UK. This is a hands-on role offering full project lifecycle exposure — from feasibility and design through to installation, commissioning and handover. Reporting into the Head of Engineering, you’ll play a key part in ensuring projects are delivered safely, compliantly and commercially.
The role Deliver end-to-end gas infrastructure projects, including installations Manage project plans, budgets and programmes Produce and review engineering designs, calculations and technical documentation Ensure compliance with UK gas standards, safety legislation and regulatory requirements Oversee site installation, commissioning and testing activities Provide technical input to bids, proposals and stakeholder reporting Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers and regulatory bodies

About you Project management qualification (PRINCE2, APM) or equivalent experience Background in project engineering within gas, oil & gas, LPG or related sectors Strong understanding of gas flow systems and associated technologies Proficient with CAD, MS Project and engineering software Confident communicator with strong reporting skills Willing to travel nationally with a full UK driving licence
