Project Engineer (12-Month Fixed Term Contract)
Norfolk | £55,000 | Monday–Friday, 39 hours per week
We're supporting a leading UK manufacturer in the search for a Project Engineer to join their Engineering team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of capital and process improvement projects, collaborating with engineering, operations and external contractors to deliver safe, efficient and compliant solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting engineering projects from initial scope through to completion.
- Producing project scopes of work, cost estimates and delivery programmes.
- Supporting process safety activities, including HAZOPs, Management of Change (MOC) and wider Process Safety Management initiatives.
- Working closely with Procurement to obtain quotations, evaluate suppliers and support purchasing activities.
- Coordinating project planning, scheduling and contractor activities across site.
- Monitoring project progress, budgets and KPIs while reporting on performance.
- Supervising contractors and ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with site standards.
- Preparing and reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Supporting CDM projects, safe lifting operations and statutory compliance.
- Providing technical expertise to improve plant reliability and operational performance.

You'll Ideally Have

- Engineering background
- Experience working within batch or continuous process manufacturing.
- Exposure to Greenfield and Brownfield projects.
- Strong planning, organisational and communication skills.
