About The Role
Due to ongoing growth, we’re proud to announce a Project Engineer position within our high-performing delivery teams.
Salary: £44,000 – £56,000 (nationwide average, dependent on experience and qualifications) Benefits: Full training + an exceptional flexible benefits package tailored to your lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Project Teams by managing engineering activities and overseeing progress against project plans.
- Procurement & Quality Control – Ensure material specifications and schedules align with timelines and budgets.
- On-Site Problem-Solving – Assist in resolving engineering challenges while upholding quality and safety standards.
- H&S & Compliance – Lead Health & Safety documentation, inspections, and compliance with legislation, company standards, and HSQE requirements.
- Project Documentation: Manage procurement schedules, RAMS (Risk Assessment & Method Statements), SWPs (Safe System of Work), and discerning programmes.
- Coordination & Audits – Work with clients and contractors on H&S inspections, ensuring adherence to standards and policies.
- Site & Programme Management – Support activities to maintain programme compliance (QA/ITP).
- Contract Knowledge – Apply basic NEC contract principles (time, cost, EWNs) and contribute to quality planning.

Skills & Experience
Candidates should have expertise in civil or MEICA projects with familiarity in:
- Water & Waste Treatment Processes – Managing treatment and control systems.
- Control Systems & Instrumentation – Understanding manual/actuated valves, instrumentation, and QI (quality instrumentation).
- Hydraulic & Pressured Systems – Expertise in pumping systems, energy distribution, and critical pressure systems.
- Technical Software – Skilled in MS Project, Excel, Word, and advanced programme evaluation.
- Team Collaboration – Ability to work closely with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors.
