Project Engineer – Aircraft Programme Team – High-Value Cabin Interior Project Management

The ideal candidate will have experience managing end-to-end Buyer Furnished Equipment (BFE) supply of high-value cabin interior or Integrated Flight Entertainment Control (IFEC) products, joining our dynamic Aircraft Programmes Team.


Role Overview

This CRITICAL role involves overseeing the management of high-value cabin interior projects at Virgin Atlantic, coordinating diverse activities to ensure on-time delivery and compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing supplier relationships, ensuring BFE purchasing contracts are met on schedule and to specification.
  • Liaising with suppliers, Virgin Atlantic departments, and external third-party providers.
  • Balancing commercial contracts, risks, and opportunities for optimal project execution.
  • Supporting global engagement, including travel, to meet critical project milestones.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Deliver on-time: Oversee BFE product scheduling, managing logistical, contractual, and operational variables.
  • Strategic decision-making: Mitigate risks while identifying growth opportunities within cabin project delivery.
  • Stakeholder cohesion: Collaborate with Virgin Atlantic’s marketing, operations, finance, and engineering teams for streamlined workflows.
  • Contractual fluency: Demonstrate expertise in complex aviation contracts (e.g., Part 145, Part CAMO, Part 21 environments).
  • Global support: Facilitate travel to supplier locations or project sites as required.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Experience

  • Proven background in:
    • Supply Chain Management
    • Part 145 Approval Processes
    • CAMO (Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation)
    • Certification Processes (Part 21)
  • Ability to operate within high-performance, high-pressure environments.
