Bennett & Game are currently working with a leading civil and marine engineering contractor who are seeking a Marine Project Engineer to join their Reactive Works team based in Dawlish. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Civil Engineering professional looking to develop their career within marine and reactive infrastructure projects.

The successful candidate will provide engineering, technical, and project coordination support across a varied portfolio of reactive civil and marine works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme and budget requirements.

Marine Project Engineer - Position Overview

  • Support the delivery and management of reactive civil and marine engineering projects
  • Coordinate project information between office and site teams
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
  • Review drawings, specifications, and technical information
  • Assist in resolving technical and design issues during project delivery
  • Produce sketches, drawings, and engineering calculations where required
  • Support planning, sequencing, and procurement activities
  • Attend site to carry out surveys, inspections, and progress reviews
  • Assist with setting out, quality checks, and verification of completed works
  • Support preparation of project documentation, RAMS, and progress reports
  • Monitor project costs, resource usage, and project risks
  • Promote and maintain high standards of Health & Safety compliance

Marine Project Engineer - Position Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • Previous experience within civil engineering, infrastructure, or marine construction
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • Commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
  • Proactive and team-focused approach
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable

  • Experience working on marine or coastal engineering projects
  • Knowledge of reactive or maintenance-based project delivery
  • Working towards ICE Chartership or equivalent professional accreditation
