Project Engineer
Role Title: Project Engineer Location: Sizewell C Salary: £45,000 plus lodging and travel allowances

As a Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of our complex engineering projects. Acting as a key technical authority, you will provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance with stringent quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
You will be responsible for managing every stage of the project lifecycle, from initial planning and design through to execution and completion, ensuring that all activities are delivered effectively, on time, and to the highest standards.
What you’ll be doing
- Taking full ownership for achieving project objectives across safety, quality, programme, and commercial performance. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and industry standards at all times.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and key stakeholders, acting as the primary point of contact to resolve issues, negotiate solutions, and foster collaboration across the project lifecycle.
- Coordinating closely with commercial, planning, and HSEQ teams, ensuring integrated project planning, accurate forecasting, and proactive risk management to deliver works on time and within budget.
- Providing leadership and direction to the project team, setting clear expectations, driving high performance, and embedding a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Mentoring and developing team members to enhance capability and facilitate succession planning.
- Monitoring and reporting on project progress, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership, producing accurate and timely reports, and implementing corrective actions where necessary to safeguard delivery targets.

What We’re Looking For
- Extensive experience in earthworks or civil engineering, with a strong track record of delivering complex projects to high standards of quality and safety.
- A solid academic foundation, complemented by advanced technical knowledge and practical application in engineering principles.
- In-depth expertise across the core disciplines of Civil Engineering, ensuring the ability to lead and make informed decisions on technical matters.
- Chartered status or actively working towards Chartered status with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), demonstrating a clear commitment to professional development and leadership within the industry.
