Job Description

Project Engineer

Location: Birmingham (Hybrid Working)
Type: Permanent, Full-Time, Monday to Friday (37 hours per week)

As a Project Engineer, you will play a vital role in delivering innovative projects that contribute to ecological transformation. You will be at the forefront of our efforts to create sustainable water solutions, working in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Job Overview

  • Lead the Change: Take ownership of the entire project life cycle, from initial planning to successful completion, ensuring projects meet client specifications, deadlines, and budget targets. You'll be the driving force behind delivering innovative water solutions.
  • Be Resourceful: Proactively anticipate resource needs, develop cost-optimisation strategies, and expertly manage project variations. Your sharp eye for efficiency will ensure projects stay on track and within budget.
  • Team Leadership: Lead high-performing project teams, fostering a collaborative environment focused on safety and technical excellence. Your guidance and support will empower the team to deliver projects to the highest standards.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with sales and proposals teams, providing your technical expertise to support winning bids and integrate seamless project planning. Your insights will be key to securing new business and delivering exceptional results.
  • Safety Champion: Be a proactive advocate for health and safety practices on site, conducting thorough risk assessments and creating a secure working environment for everyone. Your vigilance will protect our team and ensure project success.
  • Client Focused: Build strong relationships with clients, acting as their trusted adviser and ensuring their needs are met every step of the way. Your commitment to client satisfaction will be essential to building long-term partnerships.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience working in projects, ideally within the water or process sectors.
  • Experience with specific water treatment technologies (e.g., filtration, desalination, etc.)
  • A HNC / HND or equivalent qualification in Engineering or project management (or equivalent demonstrable experience).
