Environmental Project Engineer
Location: Hertfordshire (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite)
Salary: Up to £55,000 depending on experience
Copello are supporting a leading defence engineering organisation in the search for an Environmental Project Engineer to join a specialist team working on the development and qualification of complex engineering products.
This is an excellent opportunity to work across the full product lifecycle, supporting environmental requirements, developing test strategies and delivering qualification programmes on technically challenging projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop environmental requirements and qualification strategies.
- Plan and deliver environmental test programmes.
- Support product development through analysis, testing and certification.
- Work closely with design, systems and proving teams.
- Manage technical work packages and liaise with customers and stakeholders.
- Analyse test data and produce technical reports.

Skills & Experience
- Degree qualified in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
- Experience delivering engineering projects or technical work packages.
- Knowledge of environmental testing, qualification or product verification.
- Understanding of vibration, shock, temperature and humidity testing.
- Familiarity with environmental standards such as DEF STAN, AECTP or MIL-STD would be beneficial.
- Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
