Project Engineer – Quest Global

About the Role
We’re seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer (PE) to manage, monitor, and oversee the delivery of long-duration, complex Projects. This key role ensures that all manufactured parts are delivered according to schedule, while fostering strong collaboration among clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to achieve project objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project schedules, risk matrices, and mitigation strategies.
- Work proactively to identify and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments to ensure project compliance with plans.
- Align planning methodologies and tools between customer-facing project managers and internal teams.
- Lead and manage scope and schedule changes using best practices.
- Establish and nurture relationships with sub-suppliers and third-party stakeholders.
- Coordinate communication across business functions and hold leads accountable for deadlines and critical milestones.
- Prioritise monthly milestones while keeping a strategic, long-term outlook.
- Serve as the key point of contact for internal manufacturing meetings.
- Provide real-time updates and escalate issues on project status internally.
- Maintain customer and business KPIs, along with SAP system records.
- Organise and coordinate customer witness points in alignment with integrated product teams (IPTs).
- Maintain traceability spreadsheets for all manufactured parts.

Requirements
Technical Competency & Experience
- Mechanical engineering or manufacturing background – essential.
- Experience in heavy industrial engineering.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including MS Project).
- Strong practical experience with SAP system.
- Demonstrated ability to work within large-scale, multi-departmental settings.
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or related discipline.
- Proven experience in project management and engineering disciplines.
- Strong organisational skills and experience reporting to executive/board level.
- Evidence of customer-facing experience, including bid creation and stakeholder engagement.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Clear, persuasive communication in both written and verbal formats.
