Project Engineer
Department: Engineering Location: Chester
Description
We’re seeking a motivated Project Engineer to join our team delivering a high-profile major civil engineering project. This is an exciting opportunity to take on real responsibility, working at the heart of project delivery alongside experienced engineers and leadership teams.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification, supporting technical coordination, programme delivery, and quality across the project.
What you will be doing:
Coordinating site engineering activities and liaising with clients, designers, and subcontractors Managing technical compliance, setting out, and construction information Monitoring progress against programme, cost, and quality targets Supporting procurement, logistics, and material management Identifying and mitigating project risks Ensuring robust health, safety, environmental, and quality standards

What you will bring:
Experience on major civils / infrastructure projects Strong technical knowledge and ability to interpret drawings and specifications Excellent organisation and problem-solving skills Confident communicator who can work across multidisciplinary teams HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering (or similar) SMSTS TWC
